After taking a year off from allopathic fertility treatments and turning to a more Alternative Medicine approach ( massage, acupressure, acupuncture, diet, exercise etc). I started interviewing other fertility clinics. I am fortunate to live in an area with 12 different fertility clinics within driving distance. I was confident that I would find a fertility physician that truly cared about their patients as I do for mine. I was very discouraged after the 4th interview. The idea of paying a clinic $20-40,000 to provide suboptimal service made me cringe. In addition, I was looking at using a donor and the process was clearly very tenuous. As I searched on line for more clinics to interview, I ran into the IVF Vacation web site. The testimonials made it seem too good to be true. Several clients compared their US fertility treatment experience with their Czech Republic treatment. I was almost relieved to hear others were with the same complaints regarding their US fertility treatment experiences. After doing extensive research on the clinic and their physicians we were confident they were legitimate. I then called Marcela and Craig. They endured heavy questioning as I am very skeptical and critical by nature. I found them to be very professional, personable and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer all of my questions. They called the clinic to obtain answers to questions they could not answer. They were also very honest and straightforward. They did not try to sell their business. They simply wanted to answer all of my questions regarding their service. I was immediately impressed but still skeptical. Within 2 months we were in the Czech Republic , scheduled for a donor cycle. Marcela and Craig provided service above and beyond what we had arranged. They are very good people with a big heart. They have a sincere desire to help people who suffer with fertility issues as they have suffered. The clinic facilities and equipment was just as modern as US medical clinics. Dr.Anna and the Staff were very friendly and personable. They took the time to answer all of our questions. Dr.Anna spoke English well. Marcela was always present to translate for all other staff. Overall, our experience went above and beyond our greatest expectations. It is sad to say that the quality of patient care was superior as compared to the US fertility clinics from which I interviewed and sought treatment. I very much appreciated the fact that our opinions were respected and the physicians were never offended by questioning regarding medications that I wanted to take vs. ones they wanted to prescribe. They were very willing to work with me and compromise. We were also given the ultimate decision regarding the number of embryos to be transferred. US clinics decide the number for you. Marcela and Craig are honest, sincere, good natured people who immediately made us feel like close friends rather than clients or customers. We had always hoped for 3 -4 children. Our son is almost 5 months old now and we are considering going back to Czech after I am finished with breast feeding at 6 mo to a year. Good luck to all of you who are reading this letter.
